New start times for filmsOur friends at Adjab report that theatres will now publish the actual start times of films (or at least putting a little note at the bottom of the page, in very tiny print, stating that "most movies actually start 10 to 15 minutes later." Loews is the first chain to implement the change, mostly due to complaints from movie-goers at the increasing number of ads they're forced to sit through. A few years ago, it was a dancing Coke bottle and some woman lips whispering "shhhhhhh," now the pre-reel has commercials for everything from cars to music. Personally, I think this is a great idea—maybe the next improvement will be the removal of those damn neck-craner seats up front.
