harvey_weinstein45.jpgApparently not having learned any kind of lesson from their omnibus failure Four Rooms, Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino are each making a 60-minute horror film to be exhibited together under the title Grind House. The package, designed as a tribute to old-timey Times Square-style blocks of b-fare, will also include trailers and shorts made by Rodriguez, Tarantino and other filmmakers, and it'll be produced and distributed by The Weinstein Company. There'll be some novelty value in watching what happens when these two guys compete with each other within the horror genre, but I don't know why they don't just break down the ego walls and make a proper film together. RR is an incredible stylist, but QT has a passion for character that could only make his visual virtuosity that much more worthwhile.
