argento.jpgOmnibus anthologies are hot, hot, hot: first Steven Soderbergh and Wong Kar-Wai teamed to to salute and sandwich Michelangelo Antonioni in Eros; and just last week we told you about Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's latest collaboration, Grind House. Now it's been announced that horror auteur Dario Argento (seen at right looking all young and attractive), Poltergeist director Tobe Hooper, and cult filmmaker Monte Hellman will each film a segment of an as-yet-untitled horror trilogy, from a script by Dennis Bartok, program director at the American Cinematheque. The project, paid for by Japanese investors, starts shooting in September.
