Welcome to another addition of Script Sales. Here's where you'll be able to hear about new projects just bought, pitched or greenlit. Now you can know what's going on years before the movies hit the theaters....
  • Warner Bros. Pictures bought the rights to the children's adventure When the Wind Blows, which follows six genetically engineered kids with wings and the ability to fly who are hunted down by scientists. Matthew Huffman will adapt a script based on James Patterson’s novel. A sequel to the book, called Maximum Ride is also part of the deal.  Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster will produce.
  • Walt Disney Pictures have greenlit Enchanted, a romantic fable about a wannabe-princess who is banished from the animated world of Andalasia to a place where there is no true love: real-life New York. There she has to rescue herself and find her true love. Billy Kelly wrote the original spec script seven years back. It has since undergone several rewrites. Tarzan's Kevin Lima will direct the live-action/CG animated film.
  • Girl Next Door and Van Wilder scribes Brent Goldberg and David Wagner have sold a romantic comedy to New Line Cinema. The yet-to-be-titled project follows a woman who is forced to relive the wedding day from hell over and over again. So Groundhog's Day, but at a wedding?
