Depressed lion: MadagascarI'm not saying Cinderella Man is a great film, or even necessarily a good film. Hell, I haven't even seen it. But I want to know what the frak is going on when the severely crippled Madagascar can beat out Cinderella Man, Lords of Dogtown, Star Wars, and Crash. Dreamworks is great, we all loved Toy Story, blah blah blah, but Madagascar has gotten nothing but mediocrereviews, and I don't care how many animated characters Jada Pinkett-Smith has voiced: she can't act onscreen or off. So let me ask you, why do we kowtow to Hollywood, boost their fiscal frenzy and encourage repeats of filmic mediocrity? Could we please stop going to films just because they're there? Maybe rent Spirited Away instead?
