According to an article in the LA Times (which you probably won't be able to read unless you're subscribed, or at least registered for the site), Roy E. Disney and Stanley Gold have been awarded the right to proceed with allegations that directors of the Walt Disney Company went through with a fake job search before installing Robert Iger as the new CEO. Disney had filed a motion to dismiss the charges, but a judge dismissed that motion yesterday, and set a trial date for August 1. What does this all mean? Well, Iger is set to take over the position October 1, and this could very well stop that from happening. A Disney spokesman had little to run with other than denial: "We look forward to proving that there is absolutely no basis to these allegations," she said.
