It's unfortunate there's not a "No F***ing Kidding" category I could file this under.
This is the biggest forehead slapper I've seen in a while and that's saying something. Apparently to Reuters it's news that movie studios big and small schedule their DVD releases around high-profile theatrical debuts. That's why there were a spate of Howard Hughes produced movies hitting disc around the bow of The Aviator late last year. That's why the Pink Panther animated DVDs got pulled from the schedule when Sony pushed back the remake starring Steve Martin. If you had no knowledge of a week's new theatrical releases you'd be able to make a pretty informed guess after looking at new DVDs hitting shelves.
