Warner Bros. is going to bring the S.E. Hinton novel The Outsiders back to the bigscreen. Director Francis Ford Coppola has changed up the beginning and ending, too, by adding a whopping 22 minutes to the film. TV Guide calls it a "brat pack" film, but we don't agree: this is classic 50s filmmaking in the tradition of Rebel without a Cause, so just because it's got Emilio Estevez, doesn't mean it's The Breakfast Club. Anyway, the film comes out September 9th, and then a few weeks later a special edition DVD will be released. You can totally bet we'll be first in line.
