  • Paramount Pictures bought the rights to Mailman, written by Wrestling Earnest Hemingway screenwriter Steven Conrad, adapted from J. Robert Lennon's novel, Mailman: A Novel. A letter carrier extraordinaire who is aggressively cheerful and obsessively efficient has a penchant for reading other people's mail.  When one of his customers ends up dead, and he is holding the letter that might have saved the person's life, he sets out on a cross-country odyssey to reconcile with his own family and make meaning out of his own life. The rights to the novel were acquired in November 2003. This one certainly sounds interesting.
