The Perfect Man, the family-style rom-com starring Hilary Duff, Heather Locklear, and Chris Noth which opens today, has managed the near impossible: it's not recieved a single good review. Such honors are usually reserved for unmitigated disasters - the Giglis, the Glitters - films that are barely even technically competant, let alone narratively proficient. These don't seem to be problems The Perfect Man suffers. It's not throwing up the ususal antennas to attract critical hate. But, with a MetaCritic score of 25 - lower than either The Pacifier or Are We There Yet?, and just five points higher than the legendarily bad Hudson Hawk - it also doesn't seem to offer anything to like.
