Batman Begins earned $46 million this weekend, to bring its five-day gross to $71 million. After expanding on Friday to the widest opening, like, ever, the film made about $12,000 per screen for the rest of the weekend. Elsewhere, news remains not good: Mr. and Mrs. Smith dropped about 46% to the number two slot, earning another $27 million. It should easily cross the $100 million mark next weekend, but at a budget reportedly more than that, it's still a long way from profitable. The only other major studio release this weekend, The Perfect Man, made about $5.5 million; it's not going wreck Hilary Duff's career or anything, but that's obviously not great.
