Iconic film critic Roger Ebert now has a star on the Walk of Fame. Is it for his contribution to film criticism? He did win a Pulitzer, and he also pioneered the act of conveying opinion via well-positioned appendages. Or is it for his screenplays for not one, not eight, but THREE Russ Meyer films, including Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, the sequel to a movie based on a book I never finished because it's actually not very good? Yes, I'd like to think he was honored for all these things.
