Chicago Tribune movie critic and columnist Mark Caro attended the premiere of War of the Worlds last night amid Paramount's military-base-esque restrictions on what could be brought into the theater. Caro does discuss, in a very broad sense, the end of the movie so those fearful of spoilers might want to stay away. Mostly, though, he takes Paramount Pictures to task for making him feel like a criminal for trying to bring a cell phone and a bag of candy from Walgreen's into the screening. It's a good read. Caro really should start blogging along with fellow Trib columnist Eric Zorn, who Caro's filling in for.
