John Fiedler, who voiced Piglet in the Winnie the Pooh movies, has died of cancer at age 80, a day after the death of Paul Winchell, who voiced Tigger. It's taking all my effort not to make the tasteless joke about how doctors have ordered Jim Cummings (who does the voice of Pooh) under a strict death watch. Did I just write that? I'm going to hell...

Fiedler was more of a traditional actor who sometimes did voice work. His other voice work included The Emperor's New Groove, The Fox and the Hound, The Rescuers, and Robin Hood. He appeared in True Grit, starring John Wayne, and A Touch of Mink with Cary Grant. Other screen credits include playing Mr. Peterson in The Bob Newhart Show and in the movie, multiple roles in Bewitched and The Odd Couple and its Television spin-off.  As a kid I loved the Pooh movies. These guys will be greatly missed.
