• The Beat That My Heart Skipped: Jacques Audiard's riff on James Toback's Fingers could become the indie-foriegn sensation of the summer. Manohla calls it "essential viewing", and I more or less agree.
  • Rebound: One of those "working with children = comeuppance" flicks, this time starring Martin Lawrence as a guy forced to coach a kids basketball team. Stephen Holden calls it a "sleepy nonentity of a movie ... short on laughs, if supremely inoffensive".
  • Undead - This Austrailian zombie flick came out Down Under two years ago, and, according to Laura Kern, "it is a wonder it made it to the United States at all."
  • War of the Worlds- See it again for the first time.
