Austin-based Tommy Pallotta is on his way to San Diego for ComicCon, where, he tells Matt Dentler, he'll be hosting a panel on the film he's currently producing, Richard Linklater's A Scanner Darkly. The panel will feature Pallotta, animators Sterling Allen, Evan Cagle, Nick Derington and Christopher Jennings, and a special guest: "Also on the panel, in order to answer the question: "Do Androids Dream of Being Phil Dick?" will be Philip K. Dick in android form! Come and see for yourself … he'll even answer your questions!" A dead science fiction writer returns from the grave in android form to promote a movie based on his own work about split personalities? It's enough to make the inner 12-year-old boy in all of us wet his pants.
