This has nothing to do with movies, cinema, film or any bastardization thereof, but as some mutated form of a news outlet, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention it: there was a major terrorist attack this morning in London. Three explosions hit the subway system during morning rush hour, ripping apart a packed city bus and killing at least 40 people. The G-8 summit is currently underway in neighboring Scotland, and just yesterday, London itself was announced as the site for the 2012 Olympics; you don't have to be as cynical as we usually are to think there might have been some kind of connection to one or both events. The AP and friends will be following this while we return to regularly scheduled bloggery, but do know that we feel bad being uber-serious about things like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when such things are going on in the world.
