Steven Spielberg will receive an award form the city of Krakow for his efforts to preserve sections of the ghetto which were used in the filming of Schindler's List. Most specifically, the pharmacy which was run by the only non-Jew, a man by the name of Tadeusz Pankiewicz who helped hide and protect Jews during the Nazi occupation (the pharmacy is now a museum). Spielberg will be named a "Patron of Culture" and will receive a bronze statue.
