The Screen Actors Guild has brokered a new deal with producers of animation for television, which will include new exhibition rules, as well as a pay raise for voiceover actors. Minimum rates for actors will go up a total of 9%, including a 3% hike retroactive to July 1. SAG also agreed to allow producers to give made-for-TV animated shorts one-week theatrical qualifying runs before the Academy Awards. The Union plans to hold a caucus for TV animation actors this week to announce the terms of the plan, which they hope to ratify by vote on July 30.
