Our globetrotting cousins at Gadling reported the other day on the Action Film Academy. Acording to the poorly-animated avatar on the Academy's site, "If you are an aspiring action film star, or wyou want to break into the field of movie stunt work, you have come to the right place." Headed by Michael Depasquale, an actor and martial arts expert, "students" of the Academy get hands on training in all manner of stunt skills, and are also given guidance on how to break into the industry. All in all, it sounds kind of like one of those fantasy baseball camp vacations, except with classes on knife throwing instead of batting practice. Expect guest tutorials from the Dieselnator next summer if Find Me Guilty doesn't pan out...
