Scott Tobias wrote a compare and contrast piece for the Onion A.V. Club's blog about March of the Penguins and Herzog's upcoming film Grizzly Man. His gist is that Grizzly Man --the true story of a man and his girlfriend who lived among the bears in the Alaskan wilderness before ultimately being killed by their hosts-- offers a far more realistic look at the indifference of nature than Penguins, which often tried to apply abstract concepts like "love" to a flock of flightless waterfowl that were only doing what came instinctively.
