Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown recently won a suit brought against him by another author who accused the populist writer of plagiarism. Lewis Perdue claimed Brown plagiarized elements of his books Daughter of God and The Da Vinci Legacy. Judges ruled that the similarities were few, inconsequential, and based on "unprotectable ideas." Perdue was hoping to also block distribution of the upcoming film, and plans to appeal the case.
