A couple of months ago we here at Cinematical asked what was in your Netflix (or other online rental service) queue? I bring this up because I have a new question for you: Have you ever just completely overhauled your queue? The other day I got my latest batch of three movies including P.S., Coffee and Cigarettes (in honor of the upcoming Broken Flowers - reviewed here) and the first disc of the live action Tick TV series and started thinking about what would be coming at me when I was finished with them. So I look at my list of upcoming movies and realized there weren't very many that I was actually looking forward to.

Most of the list I had built was made up of level-B studio releases - not huge would-be blockbusters, but not independent movies. Nothing was getting me excited so out they went. In there place I decided to bone up on my classic cinema vocabulary a bit. Added to my queue were movies I hadn't seen by Akira Kurosawa, Woody Allen, Jean-Luc Godard and Francois Truffaut among others. I kept some studio flicks (I'm still curious about Ocean's 12) but overall feel much better about what's coming to me in the future. Anyone else done this kind of mass overhaul on their selections?
