Fledgling movie star Andre 3000 has turned down a role in Bill Condon's feature adaptation of the Supremes-inspired Dreamgirls, for fear of being "typecast". "The director wanted to meet, and I'd really love to work with this director," he said. "But I just finished a musical, and it was a period piece. I don't want to get typecast." That period musical is My Life in Idlewild, which also stars Big Boi, Andre's partner in Outkast, and which is set for release sometime next year. I have to say, it's a bit surprising that they're still casting this movie. Didn't Beyonce sign on to the Diana Ross role like four months ago?
