The United Motion Picture Association has been giving free passes to Missouri legislators for years, and no one, least of all the folks receiving the free movie passes, has really questioned it. The United Motion Picture Association represents about three quarters of the theaters in Missouri and neighboring Kansas, but they claim the tickets are merely a courtesy, and not a case of lobbying. Also, when you take into consideration that the passes aren't good for opening days, it's not that great of a deal. Apparently very few have taken advantage.
