Alexander Golitzen, the art director who worked on movies ranging from lavish epics like Kubrick'sSpartacus to more subdued works like To Kill A Mockingbird passed away last month at the age of 97. Golitzen was the son of Russin immigrants and moved around the United States until finally settling in Los Angeles. He worked at both MGM and Universal, and has over three-hundred films to his credit.
