Television producer Adam Friedman has acquired the rights to Joe R. Lansdale's novel A Fine Dark Line, and has also tapped Lansdale to compose the screenplay. The book is a "ghost story" of sorts which Friedman compares to Stand By Me. That alone will probably compel me to see it, as I've always felt a personal connection to Stand By Me, having spent many years as a dead boy lying near a railroad track. The film will be distributed by Friedman's Traveling Light Productions.
