- If negotiations go well, Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci will join Karina's manClive Owen in Shoot-Em-Up. Owen will play a "mysterious guardian" (which sounds dark and heavily armed-- promising, since possibly his
hottestbest role was as the killer-with-headaches in The Bourne Identity) who is hired, bizarrely, to defend a newborn from hitmen. Jeez, they really are running out of ideas.
- Speaking of running out of ideas, another classic film is going to be remade and, presumably, destroyed. This time it's French crime masterpiece Rififi, which will star Al Pacino. Directing the affair will be Harold Becker, who previously worked with Pacino on Sea of Love. Expect a lot of yelling and sweating.
- Finally, Daniel "I'm Not Bond" Craig has signed on to co-star with Nicole Kidman in Invasion. Together, they will kick alien ass. (Yeah, we know how it is-- Tom runs from aliens, Nicole has to thwart an invasion.)
