Maggie Gyllenhaal may be the perfect girl, someone who can make out with you and then help you with your math homework afterwards. Apparently I have a very shallow and limited idea as to what the perfect woman is. Anyway, it's that smirking intelligence that has always drawn me to her characters in films like Donnie Darko, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and Adaptation. Cox News Service has an interesting interview with the actress who's beginning to take her place next to other indie queens like Parker Posey and Christina Ricci (she's better than Christina, though).
