Don Cheadle may have Hotel Rwanda behind him, but the actor hasn't given up on making people aware of political, social, and economic tragedies throughout Africa. In order to generate awareness of war and famine in the Sudan, Cheadle co-chairs Live for Darfur (referring to the Darfur area of Sudan) which urges established artists to dedicate their work to the people of Darfur. I don't know if "dedicate" means "give money to" but I'll assume it does, since simply dedicating a song to them wouldn't be much help. Recently, the UN scolded the government of Sudan for not thoroughly investigating rape charges brought against security forces there. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that women can actually face criminal charges if their allegations aren't proven.
