While a feature-length Simpsons movie is still a couple of years off, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment continues to release full seasons of the Emmy-winning show. This month, they have reached out to obsessive completists in an amusing and characteristic way. When Fox released the 4-disc, Region 1 Season 6 set on August 16th in a molded plastic Homer's head-shaped box, they included a pre-emptive pull-out that directed panicky DVD collectors as to what to do if the new packaging concept caused them some anxiety. "For all those anal-retentive nerds who like their DVD boxes to line up perfectly on the shelf," it reads, followed by an 800-number. They have since added a website, in which they ask collectors their reason for ordering the free (plus shipping) "very derivative, old-style, just-like-before box with almost nothing new or creative to annoy or terrify you.":

*Anal retentive (box must be identical)
*Lonely (will pretend box is new best friend)
*Will sell box to collector nerds for huge profit
*Just like free stuff
*Big baby

DVD nuts, which one are you? How do you organize your vast collections? Do you ever loan out your DVD's, or are you like me, constantly in fear that someone will mess your shiznit up?
