I have a feeling that this wasn't quite what little Andy Hardy had in mind: a rebel group in northeast India is reportedly filming and distributing porn films to support their insurgency. For real. The National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) is selling homemade porn in neighboring regions of Indian and, presumably, buying guns and food and whatnot with the profits. While I would normally just have to admire their entrepreneurial spirit, the fact that members of the NLFT are reportedly being forced to participate in these films significantly reduces my ability to put a positive spin on the whole thing. Yech. I mean, isn't there anyone in the group who already has sex and maybe wouldn't mind being filmed - for the good of the movement, and everything? Also, apart from the morality of the whole thing, that region of Indian is apparently crawling with rebel groups - who has time to block a shot, let alone press a mess of VCDs?
