RESfest, the premiere film festival devoted to digitally-produced and/or manipulated imagery and emerging technologies, has come a long way in a few short years. This year's touring program, which kicks off on September 15 in New York city, will crash cities across six continents, from San Francisco to Sydney, Sao Paulo to Seoul. The New York edition alone (which we'll be covering on Cinematical) will include two feature documentaries (Just For Kicks, a cinematic history of the sneaker, and Doug Pray's Infamy, a look into graffiti subculture); panels on copyright issues, street art and music video production; a retrospective of Beck music videos; two rarely-seen shorts from director Mike Mills, whose Thumbsucker opens that weekend in NY and LA, and a keynote speech from music video artist Stephane Sednaoui. Take a look at the lineup for each city here - what looks especially exciting to you?
