As Friday's numbers indicated it would, The Exorcism of Emily Rose mopped the floor with the competition this weekend, earning $30.2 million on just under 3,000 screens to easily take the number one slot. Its closest competition was The 40 Year-Old Virgin, and even that film, an undeniable hit that's been coasting on long legs for weeks, could only scrape up a little bit less than $8 million in Emily's wake. Elsewhere in New Release land, New Line's The Man flopped with $4 million, landing in sixth place. Elsewhere in Old Release land, The Wedding Crashers is still knocking around the Top Ten; it hit $200 million in this, its ninth weekend. Full you-know what after the whatsit.
