Guy Green, the director/cinematographer who won an Oscar for Great Expectations, has died of a heart attack at age 91. Green started out as a cinematographer, and was one of the co-founders of the British Society of Cinematographers. Despite garnering a lot of praise as a cinematographer, he turned to directing in the mid 50s, helming such films as House of Secrets and Portrait of Allison. During the final part of his career he worked mostly in television.
