Currently playing at the New York Musical Theatre Festival is a play based on cult director Tod Browning's film The Unknown, which starred Lon Chaney. Browning is best know for creating one of my favorite films of all time, Freaks. The musical version of The Unknown will apparently switch between "hot-blooded send-up" and "erotic grotesque." Hey, I do that several times a day myself. I am so there. And when I say "I am so there" I mean I don't live in NYC and will not, in fact, be so there.
