Charlize Theron might as well just sign her life over to Patty Jenkins. First, Jenkins directed Theron through her lesbian serial-killer paces and towards a Best Actress Oscar in Monster; now, the former has gotten the later cast on the best show on TV. Theron will start a five-episode stint on the FOX comedy Arrested Development tonight. She'll play Rita, a mystery woman that Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman, my back-up back-up celebrity boyfriend) hooks up with whilst visiting "Wee Britain", a theme-park version of London. Jenkins has directed several episodes of the Emmy-winning series, and so once Theron admitted to being a fan, she pulled the necessary strings. If you're not watching this show yet, maybe this excerpt of dialogue will convince you. Michael's twin sister Lindsay (played by Portia DiRossi), once learning of his budding fling with Rita, starts picking on his inability to sustain a relationship. About his ex-wife, she says, "You guys weren't even speaking toward the end." Michael responds, "A lot of that was a coma." Toss back to Lindsay:  "Yeah, I've heard your side of it."

If that doesn't make you laugh out loud, go find another movie blog. No, I'm serious. Go on. Git.
