Eight individuals have been arrested on charges relating to the illegal, internet-based distribution of the latest Star Wars pic, Revenge of the Sith. Albert Valente, a 28-year-old who worked at a post-production house, has pleaded guilty to stealing a copy of the film; 36 year-old Marc Hoaglin was then charge with a felony for putting the copy on the internet for free, unlawful download. In the same bundle of arrests, another man was charged with distributing counterfeit DVDs, and yet another defendant is being brought on misdemeanor charges for merely giving away his Oscar screening copy of Million Dollar Baby. Doesn't that seem a little harsh? Where can we logically draw the line on this stuff?
