David Bowie; Man Who Fell to EarthDirector/cinematographer Nicolas Roeg has been deservedly rediscovered recently, thanks to the sparkling Criterion releases of The Man Who Fell to Earth and Bad Timing. He's also currently working on his first feature in a decade, an insane-sounding little number called Adina. Described as "a horror film in the tradition of Carrieand Interview with the Vampire," Adina stars Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Jason, andNeve Campbell, who plays the title role. Doesn't sound too crazy yet, I know. But then there's this: the film "explores the idea that there is no linear time - no yesterday, today or tomorrow. Everything that ever has happened or ever will happen is happening right now - simultaneously." Whoa. Add to that the fact that Adina and Jason happen to be members of "a new race of immortals who depend on sex to maintain their youth" and you've got a movie that, at the very least, will certainly be intriguing - just what we'd expect from the man who made Performance.
