Scott Tobias writes in the Onion's AV Club blog about a deep, dark secret many film critics refuse to acknowledge: sometimes, they change their minds. Films which were once praised feverishly don't seem so great when seen again years later. He cites American Beauty as one film which he gave too much credit.
Since I live in "not New York City" I pretty much don't review films for Cinematical. There have been, though, a few movies that I loved when I first saw them, but later viewings changed my mind. There are also those movies which I didn't give enough credit the first time around, but managed to woo me with later viewings. Here's a few, and you should mention some of your own.
