Paradise Now; suicide bombSuicide bomber movies are appearing with odd frequency lately, and the trend shows no signs of slowing. "Love and Terror," an article by David France that appeared in O (Oprah's magazine), told the clearly very Hollywood friendly true story of love between two bombers - and The Wolper Organization has snatched up the rights. France, who will co-produce the project, is interested in the topic because of its unusual elements (and, clearly, its possible connection to an already successful movie): "Much like Maria Full of Grace, here is a crime trend not being pursued by criminals."

The Wolper Organization, members of which produced both Roots and The Thorn Birds, seems almost impossibly well-equipped to handle a romance with deep political importance. Sure, whatever they come up with will be full of lush music and desperate clinches, but it sure as hell will be riveting.
