Darren AronofskyFor those of you counting the seconds until Darren Aronofsky's "psychedelic fairy tale" The Fountain hits theaters, here's some good news: the teaser will show up at Apple tomorrow. Plus, the graphic novel is out soon as well. Woo hoo! Sure, the teaser'll only run about 30 seconds and the graphic novel's reportedly very different from the movie, but still - it's a hell of a lot better than nothing, right? Especially after all this waiting.

But, um, speaking of the waiting, it sounds like there's quite a bit more of that in store. Though Aronofsky finished an early edit of the film almost two weeks ago, he doesn't think the visual effects work will be done until February. February! Which, obviously, means the rumored/hoped for "holiday season" and "February of 2006" release dates are out.

For what it's worth, though, stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz are happy with Aronofsky's early edit, as is the director himself. He shares many more tidbits (including a few about Lost) in the interview with AICN linked below - once you get done reading that, maybe it'll be March and the movie'll be out.
