It's just so unfair. Here we have to wait until November 18 to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (that's 10 days, if you're playing along at home), and some lucky people have already seen it. Special treats for fans braving the rain at the London premiere: a glimpse of the cast, including Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, a fire-breathing dragon, and scores of helicopters competing for airspace with reporters and camera crews.
Also on hand was Madonna with daughter Lourdes, who owned up to Ron Weasley being her fave Potter character. In what has to be the best quote of the night, Madge waxes eloquent about author J.K. Rowling's brilliance as a writer, then confesses she hasn't actually, you know, read any of the Potter books. That's okay, though, she's seen the movies, and Lola, at least has read them.
So, who's going to go to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at the 11:59 November 17 showings? Er, not that I'd do anything geeky like that. Well, maybe I would, but I won't be dressing up as Hermione.
[Special thanks to the tipster from the UK who very kindly pointed out the story I had originally posted on this linked to a story about the premiere of the last HP movie, Prisoner of Azkaban. Doh. Note to self: must not post after midnight whilst on painkillers...]
