Once again, I'm going out of town for a long weekend and missing all of the Austin film-related fun. I'm going to New Orleans, a city that has very little film-related fun right now (although some movie theaters are open). I'll just jump right in with the highlights of the movie events I'll miss.
- Arbor Great Hills is showing The Conformist all week long. Fortunately, it will still be playing when I get back to Austin, or else we might have to push back the trip. This excellent 1970 Bernard Bertolucci movie is not available on DVD in the U.S. so if you are in Austin, do take advantage of a rare opportunity to see the film. Love that tango scene. (Aside to Karina: Did you end up seeing it after posting the photo? I think it's better than Last Tango in Paris.)
