Stephen Chow; Kung Fu HustleAt ceremonies held last night, Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards - generally thought of as the Chinese-language Oscars - were handed out, and most of them went to Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle. The movie won five awards, including best picture, best supporting actress, and best director for Chow, who also starred in the film. Other major winners were the magnificent Anthony Wong, who took home the best supporting actor award for his work in action flick Initial D, and heartthrob/popstar Aaron Kwok, who was a surprise best actor honoree.

Meanwhile, in other gold animal news, the upstart Chinese Oscars - the Golden Rooster Awards - were also handed out last night. At that ceremony, Jackie Chan was named best actor for his dramatic work in New Police Story.
