AristideFirst Run, the distributor behind the George McGovern documentary One Bright Shining Moment, recently acquired North American rights to two more films with political content. The first, Forgiving Dr. Mengele, sounds almost unbearably harrowing: it follows twins who survived the Nazi doctor's experiments as they try to track down others who share their experiences. Wow. The second is more expressly about politics - Aristide and the Endless Revolution is Nicolas Rossier's look at Haiti's exiled president, and includes an extensive interview with Aristide himself, as well as "commentary from his supporters and critics."

Aristide opens this week in New York, while Forgiving Dr. Mengele is expected out in the spring of 2006.
