Video game company Activision is getting all kinds of movie related love lately. We recently told you about Activision putting the moves on Marvel; and it turns out that Activision is digging itself some sweet, sweet action on the side. That’s right, Activision is a playa. It smiles all pretty at Marvel and holds its hand, then when Marvel is at work it goes and jumps in bed with another movie company. So who is Activision's side honey? None other than that cute looking little DreamWorks. Activision and DreamWorks announced that they have agreed to "a new long-term, broad-based strategic alliance." The companies signed a multi-year agreement which grants Activision the exclusive video game rights to upcoming feature films from DreamWorks Animation.
Boy oh boy, I don't know about you, but I just can't wait to get my hands on Shrek 3 the videogame! Or wait- Madagascar 2! How about upcoming Rex Havox or Kung-Fu Panda? I really don't mean to deride this move; I think it's good that videogames still continue to market some titles towards children. They are, after all, a good portion of the market - or at least their parents are. And it's good for them to have games that are rated G or PG. I just couldn't pass up the chance to mock the silly games.
