If you surf on over (that’s some hep internet lingo I’m throwing at ya) to the official V is for Vendettawebsite, you can feast your little eyes on four new promotional posters for the upcoming film based on Alan Moore’s work. The story in a nutshell is that of a young woman and a masked vigilante who fight against a totalitarian British regime (set in the future, obviously). The film opens March 17 and is directed by James McTeigue and written by the Wachowskibrothers.

Apparently, the Wachowski brothers are still managing to pawn off the accidental success of the first Matrix movie, and someone out there is still willing to believe that these guys are tremendous storytellers, somehow overlooking the painful plots of the subsequent two flicks. Alan Moore, why do you continue to allow this to happen to your fantastic works- do you get some kind of sick pleasure out of playing the tremendously wronged artist whose work was ruined by The Man?

Okay, Wachowski lovers…the light is green. Tear into me for calling them hacks.
