Emma ThompsonWere you wondering why Emma Thompson was thanked at the end of Pride & Prejudice? Well, so was a fellow by the name of Cal Ford. Instead of keeping his confusion to himself like most of us do, however, Cal asked The Man Who Knows Everything (AKA Roger Ebert) what was up. And, as he always does, The Answer man came up with one: according to Ebert, Thompson, who penned the widely praised Sense and Sensibility, also did a rewrite of the current Jane Austen hit but refused to take screen credit for her work. I mean, honestly. Could the woman be more disgustingly talented?
