Mel GibsonExpressing dissatisfaction with his not-conservative-enough policies and appointments, a group of California Republicans have decided that governor Arnold Schwarzenegger needs to be replaced. Not entirely unreasonable so far, right? However, because California is on a totally different planet than the rest of the world, they immediately have decided that the best man for the job is Mel Gibson. That's right: not a politician. Mel Gibson, a man whose management experience covers nothing larger than a movie set, and whose political background is pretty much limited to making and talking about The Passion of the Christ. Nice.

Though (to his credit) Gibson has refused as yet to comment on the Draft Mel! movement, the mind boggles at what has suddenly become a not completely impossible race for the California statehouse: Mel Gibson v Warren Beatty.
